Janet Thompson, 74, beloved wife of Donald Thompson for 55 years, passed away on April 17, 2021.
Janet was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 17, 1946 to the late Cass and Ida Paul. She is survived by her brother James Paul and sister Gail Bowser. It was in September of 1966 that she married the love of her life, Donald Thompson.
One of Janet’s proudest moments was becoming a Master Decorative Artist (MDA). She was an active member of the Hartland Senior Center. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, reading, gardening, and baking. She loved to spend time with family and friends and adored her twin granddaughters. Janet enjoyed cruising and she and Donald took over 50 cruises together, all over the globe. She was personified by her goal for the past ten years - to give a smile to at least one person each day.
Janet was the devoted wife of Donald Thompson, loving mother of Debrah Thompson (partner Jon Marbry) and Darin Thompson (married to Ann Thompson), and proud grandmother of Emmeline and Audrey Thompson.
