William “Gus” Gostomski, of Fenton, passed away in the loving care of his family on March 29, 2017 at the age of 74.
Born January 1, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan, Bill was one of two sons born to parents William and Rosaline. Bill was a 1960 graduate of Warren Fitzgerald High School where he was on the first swim team and captained the swim and baseball teams. He retired from Consumer’s Energy after dedicating 40 years to his career as a service technician. Bill proudly served his country in Korea from 1964-1966. He was an official for baseball and swimming for 20 years. Always an avid Michigan State fan....."Sparty On!"
Bill is survived by Cheryl Ann (nee. Lickman) Miatech, his beloved partner for 28 years; his children, Douglas (Jill) Gostomski, Tracy (Douglas) Chartier, and Renee (Richard) Austin; and his brother, Daniel (Ruth) Gostomski; Cheryl’s family, Jill (Keith) Martus, Jodi (Don) Keegan and Jason (Alanha) Asher as well as 15 cherished grandchildren.
Military Honors will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 10:30 AM.
