Virginia Shirley Oswalt, a longtime resident of Brighton and a former resident of Livonia, died peacefully on March 23, 2020 at the age of 91.
Virginia was born and raised in Detroit to George and Edith (nee Knorpp) Keller Sr. After graduating from Southeastern High School she worked at a bank as a stenographer/teller. It was there that she met Arthur when he came in to cash his paychecks. They quickly fell in love and were married on April 16, 1955 at Jefferson Avenue Presbyterian Church in Detroit. The couple raised their three sons in Livonia and in 1999, moved to Brighton.
She is survived by her sons, Gregory (Marian), Gary (the late Vickie) and Geoffrey (Julianne); grandchildren, Jessica, Justin, Stephen, Daniel and Holly; her brother, Donald (the late Audrey), and sister-in-law, Barbara (the late George D.) Keller, as well as extended family members.
Virginia is predeceased by her husband of over 64 years, Arthur, in August of 2019; her siblings, Dorothy, George and Donald and her parents, George D. and Edythe Keller.
