Teresa Ann Bobovsky peacefully passed away January 7, 2020 at her home in Brighton Michigan. She was born on June 4, 1960 in Lincoln Park, Michigan. She attended Allen Park High School, University of Michigan Dearborn, and Wayne State University. She worked for several years at Oakwood Hospital in the dietary department. She is survived by her parents Helen and Joseph Bobovski, her siblings, Joseph (Pat) Bobovsky, Margaret (Mark) Bauer, Thomas (Lisa) Bobovski, her nieces and nephews, Thomas Bauer, Patrick (Katie) Bauer, Caitlin (Alex) Harmon, Alexandra and Taylor Bobovsky and several great nieces and nephews.
Teresa was a very supportive sister and friend, always there for you when you needed advice or suggestions, always adding her jokes and humor to situations. She was very fashion minded and always was color and style coordinated with her clothing, shoes, and all accessories. Her thoughtfulness and consideration were unending and she always remembered to honor holidays and birthdays of others. No matter what she was experiencing in her own life, Teresa maintained a positive, optimistic attitude.
Teresa was known by her older sister as “tag-along-Teresa” always wanting to keep up with her older siblings. She was a great cook, improvising many recipes to perfection and she also was great at baking everything from cookies to the family recipe of Kolach. She was a “spice” queen and knew exactly what would make the best spaghetti, chili, soup, etc
Despite her illness, Teresa was optimistic and fiercely independent in managing her own care. She often shocked the doctors with her tenacity and bravery during every new procedure, surgery, and challenge she faced.
Teresa touched the lives of both family members and many caregivers. Teresa was a very special person and her spirit and effort to live a full life will be an inspiration to all of us forever.
Teresa is survived by her father Joseph and mother Helen (nee Turchanik), siblings Joseph (Pat) Bobovsky, Margaret (Mark) Bauer, and Thomas (Lisa) Bobovski. Beloved by many nieces, nephews as well as great nieces and great nephews.
