Sharon was born on February 26, 1944 and passed away on December 10, 2018. All her life Sharon was a loving, compassionate caregiver. As the oldest of six children to Jeanne and John Trent, Sharon helped her mother raise her siblings Stephen Trent, Kelly (Maureen) Trent, Nora (Bob) Vahratian, Kitty (Greg) Kemp, and Susan (Todd) Stone. Sharon attended 12 years of Christian school, which helped develop her spiritual nature.
Sharon and Dave (son of Dorothy and John Bogden, and brother of Scott Bogden) enjoyed a loving marriage for 50 years. Sharon was a wonderful caregiver to her husband and to their two children, Jennapher (1972) and Julie (1974). She lovingly and wisely raised and guided Jen and Julie into adulthood and embraced her sons-in-law when Jen married Eric Smith in 1996 and Julie married Phil Quackenbush in 2002. Sharon then provided the same love and care to her grandchildren, Jackie (2002), and John (2009). She told them stories, read to them, and, when needed, helped them off to school.
Sharon was a registered nurse at Botsford Beaumont Hospital, and then at Marywood Nursing Care Center. She studied nursing at night school while raising a family. Nursing was a natural career for such a compassionate person. Sharon treated her patients with love and respect and continued to apply the same skills to family and friends who were critically or terminally ill.
Besides being loving, compassionate and caring, Sharon was always level headed and analytical. Sharon had no “drama”. Sharon cried when it was appropriate, and laughed when it was appropriate. It was not about her; it was always about solving the situation. She could make a decision quickly, knew how to enjoy life, and was loved by everyone she touched. Sharon was the matriarch of her family, always providing those important life lessons. Sharon will be lovingly remembered by many.
