Rosemary �Rosie� Jean Adams, a longtime resident of Brighton and parishioner of St. Patrick Catholic Church, passed away peacefully late Saturday, September 13th, 2014, in her home at the age of 93. She was born on January 5, 1921 in Lansing, Michigan to LaVern and Nina (Tobin) Curtis. She graduated from Fowlerville High School in 1939 and The Detroit Business Institute in 1941. In addition to raising 5 children, she was a secretary for Chrysler Corporation and worked as a Senior Clerk Typist for O.L.H.S.A in Howell. On April 3, 1948 she married Stanley Adams at St. Patrick Church in Brighton. He preceded her in death in 1986.
She is survived by her son, Stanley J. (Barb) Adams of Brighton; daughters, Lindsay Adams of Brighton, Carole (the late Donald) Banfield of Oak Grove, Sharon (Jay Gross) Anderson of Brighton, Pamela (Brian) Love of Lansing; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and her adoring feline companion, Callie.
Visitation will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 600 E. Main St., Brighton on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 from 4-8 PM, with a Rosary at 7 PM.
Mass of the Resurrection from St. Patrick Catholic Church, 711 Rickett Rd, Brighton on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 10:30 AM with gathering beginning at 9:30 AM. The Rev. Fr. Karl Pung to officiate. Burial St. Patrick Calvary Cemetery, Brighton.
Rosemary�s family would like to thank her primary care physician, Dr. Mark Skalski, M.D., the team at St. Joseph Mercy Hospice and the loving caregivers who assisted in providing care to Rosemary so she could remain at home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Livingston County, 2464 Dorr Rd, Howell, MI 48843 or to the Eric Hartwell Foundation, 3154 Skyview Court, Brighton MI 48114.
