Obituary for Paul E. Burch

Paul Edward Burch, a resident of Howell, Michigan passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2010 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital-Livingston. Paul was born on July 17, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan, to parents Clarence & Pauline Burch. He had a brother, Clarence Jr. who passed away at a young age. He was raised in Madison Heights, Michigan and spent most of his Summers with his family in Georgia. He graduated from High School in Madison Heights and joined the Army soon after. He was stationed in Fort Hood, Texas during the late 1950�s and was honorably discharged in 1960. He later married his wife, Doris, in 1967. They originally lived in Troy, Michigan and gave birth to twin daughters, Paula and Pamela. They later moved to Howell, Michigan where they have lived for thirty-one years.

Paul worked for several decades as a delivery man for Home Juice Company before retiring in 2004. He was diagnosed several years ago with COPD which had recently become severe and limited his activity. He enjoyed bowling, watching sports, investing, being visited by family, driving his Impala, and having breakfast with friends in the community.

Paul is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Doris; daughters, Paula and Pamela and their husbands; and a grandson, Aiden. In addition to his brother, Clarence Jr., Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Pauline Burch.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, October 7, 2010, 10AM at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 600 E. Main Street, Brighton, 48116. Memorial visitation will be Wednesday from 3 - 8 PM.
