Patricia A. Bartle, 82, longtime resident of Brighton, Michigan for 43 years, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022.
A true matriarch, Patricia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to those who were blessed to know her.
Born in Detroit, Michigan on January 21, 1939 to the late Alexander and Lottie Marciniak, Patricia was proud of her Polish heritage, embraced traditional cooking and loved to entertain, spending time with family and friends throughout her life. She attended St. Hedwig Catholic school, becoming lifelong friends with her best friends from elementary and high school. They were like family to Patricia, and to her, family was everything.
Patricia married the love of her life, James Bartle on September 3, 1960. They were a true love story. She was vibrant and beautiful, loved life and always found ways to make little moments meaningful. She was the person who always remembered everyone’s birthday, sent a card, or just did something special. For those that knew her well, she was selfless and giving, always encouraging, and was a trusted confidant when someone needed an ear.
It was not uncommon when her children were young for Patricia to be seen at their school, always volunteering and being a part of their lives and their education. One major accomplishment was getting her GED while her children were still in high school. In her later years, she and James enjoyed trips with their close friends, with many great memories from the “Party Animal” trips. She adored her grandchildren and always loved getting family together. She will be greatly missed by all who crossed her path.
Beloved wife of James “Jim” for over 61 years. Loving mother of Steven Bartle (Nanette) and Pamela Manning (nee Bartle). Proud grandmother of Kyle Bartle, Evan Bartle and Logan Manning. Dear sister of the late Chester Marciniak (the late Betty), the late Stanley Marciniak (Kathy) and the late Edward Marciniak (the late Jean). She was preceded in death by several aunts and uncles.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 11:00am at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 2201 S. Old 23 Highway, Brighton, MI 48114. Visitation begins at the church at 10:00am.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
