Obituary for Patricia Anne Page

Patricia Anne Page, 79, was greeted by Jesus at 3:46 AM on July 7, 2019. She will be sorely missed by those she left behind but is happily greeted by those who went before her: her parents, Emory W. and Audrey J. Johnson; her sisters, Audrey Jean Johnson and Carol Louise Kelley; her husband, Gerald L. Page; her son, Gerald A. Page; and her grandson, Christian E. LaClaire. She leaves behind with hope: her daughter, Deborah A. (Thomas) LaClaire; granddaughters, Lauren M. LaClaire and Amanda R. LaClaire; her brother, Emory Richard (Carol) Johnson; her sister, Lois M. (Lawrence) Bearman; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Patricia led a wonderful life starting the day she was born, September 4, 1939 to the end of her Earthly life, July 7, 2019. She experienced farm life and city life. And now, she is eternally with our Lord after passing peacefully in her sleep.

She married Gerald L. Page on November 29, 1958. Her married life started in New York City as a newlywed and new employee of Chemical Bank. Together, she and her husband found their way back to Illinois and started a family. She was employed by Franklin Grove High School and served on the board of the Franklin Grove Library. She consistently held her faith in service through volunteering as a deaconess and serving on committees at every church she was involved with. Notably she served in various positions at the First Baptist Church in Dixon, Illinois. Life took her and her family to New Jersey where she found work again, alongside her husband, as a Baptist Youth Fellowship leader at the First Baptist Church in Somerville. She was employed by Cass City Chronicle and served on committees at the First Baptist Church in Cass City, Michigan. She also served at both the First Baptist Church of Howell and Cornerstone Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Brighton, Michigan.

Her final resting place will be in Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens in Novi, Michigan.

Patricia always maintained a beautiful and wonderful home for her family all the while gardening, canning, sewing, knitting and crocheting, and much more. She was a wonderful hostess to all and took great pride in her grandchildren. We will miss her great dry humor and teasing remarks about her son-in-law’s school affiliations. Yet, we take great comfort in knowing her greatest legacy, her faith in Jesus Christ, has been passed on to her children, grandchildren and to all those she touched through her everyday works in life.

Graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at 11 AM at Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens, Novi, Michigan
