GRIEF & HEALING

each stage of the grieving process.
Mary Jean Grohs, 86, and beloved wife of Donald for over 62 years, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021.
Mary Jean was born on July 7, 1934 in Highland Park, Michigan to the late Joseph and Marguerite Bazinet. She married the love of her life, Donald Grohs on May 10, 1958, and the two of them started a family.
She was very active in the Catholic Church her entire life. She attended Mass daily and had many close friendships with other members of her church, the St. John’s community in Hartland, Michigan. Mary Jean loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, and cherished having family gatherings. She would insist on Euchre games at every gathering, and even her grandchildren learned to play. Mary Jean was also close to her sister Annette, who preceded her in death. She was still very active, walking on her treadmill daily, keeping her home meticulous, doing yard work, and shopping. She loved to make cross stitched baby quilts for everyone, and often donated them to the pregnancy center. She still had lunch frequently with her close friends from her childhood. Mary Jean loved living on the lake and taking rides on her pontoon. She had a zest for life and never stopped moving.
Mary Jean is survived by her devoted husband Donald of over 62 years. She is the loving mother of David Grohs (Stephanie), Mike Grohs (Teresa), Donna Sharp, and Jennifer Kulick (Brad). Proud grandmother of Emily Grohs, Daniel Grohs, Nicholas Grohs, Alexandra Kulick, and Adam Kulick. Dear sister of the late Annette Wassell (the late John).
