Marvin Anthony Chupinsky of Brighton, died at Providence Hospital on Friday, May 10, 2019 surrounded by his wife and two of his four daughters. He was 82 years old.
Born on July 15, 1936 in Detroit Michigan, he was one of three sons of Gertrude and Joseph Chupinsky. He grew up in Detroit. He served his country in the Korean Conflict as a cook in the Army. In 1958, he met Marie Sharon Murphy and eventually took her to her senior prom. Their courtship grew into a lifelong marriage which began on August 3, 1963 at St Mary’s of Redford. They went on to have four wonderful daughters and four bright, caring grandchildren. He worked at and retired from Ford Motor Company. He loved fishing and later in life golfing. He loved Bald Eagles and anything to do with the American flag. A man of abiding faith, he was a lifelong, active member of St John’s Catholic Church where he served as an usher. He was kind, selfless, generous, hardworking and a perfectionist. He was an active member and went to the Elks Lodge daily to hang out with the people he referred to as family. He had a way of entering a business and becoming a part of your life – not just a customer. He never met a stranger. He was a true man of “God, Country and Family”.
Marvin is survived by his loving wife, Marie Sharon Chupinsky; daughters, Jackie Gill, Denise Spotts, Linda (Steve) Novak, Kelly (Ryan) Keller; grandchildren, Logan and Ash Novak and Grace and Owen Keller as well as many dear friends and extended family members.
