Mamie Gertrude Davis, of Brighton and formerly Arab, Alabama, passed away in the care of her family on April 15, 2012. She was 82 years old.
She was preceded in death by her sons James Randell Walker, Daniel Leroy Walker; parents, Ada Belle Tyler and Roy Tyler; siblings Ralph Tyler, Kelly Tyler, Dudley Tyler, Ethyl Shumate, Mattie Saylor, Lurline Smallwood, Mabel Calloway.
Although Mrs. Davis worked in retail management for many years, her passion in life was loving and caring for her family. She never missed a birthday and especially enjoyed Christmas. She and her husband Larry enjoyed traveling and antiquing.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Lawrence Davis; sons, James Steven Walker, Eddie Walker; daughter, Margaret Davis; daughter-in-law, Lynda Walker; grandchildren, Cheri Howard, Randy Walker, Joshua Walker, Isaiah Walker; great-grandchildren, Brandyn Kearney, Elli Howard, Randy Walker, Alyssa Walker, Nick Walker; brother Walter �Buddy� Tyler as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at Lynch & Sons, 600 E. Main St, Brighton on Wednesday, April 18 at 2 PM. Friends may visit from noon until the time of service. Burial to take place Friday, April 20, 2012 at 3 PM at Mt. Oak Cemetery, Arab, Alabama.
