Obituary for Lillian Adams

LILLIAN ADAMS (née Kapochius) of Brighton, MI - formerly of Fountain Hills, Arizona. Lillian was born in Pittston, Pennsylvania on September 27, 1922 and died on March 11, 2017 at the age of 94.

A memorial tribute for Mrs. Adams will be held at the Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road in Holly, Michigan on Friday, May 19, 2017 at 11 a.m.

Lillian married Samuel J. Adams on September 19, 1942. They lived in Detroit, Michigan and raised 5 children, Cheryl, Rosemary, Robert, James, and Christopher. Lillian was preceded in death by her husband Samuel, their daughter Cheryl, her parents and 13 siblings. Lillian was the beloved wife of the late Samuel. Treasured mother of the late Cheryl (Bud/Gayle) Daniels, Rosemary Pitylak, Robert (Margaret) Adams M.D., James (Sharon) Adams, and Christopher Adams. Cherished grandmother of Stephen (Sandi) Daniels, John (Tina) Daniels, Nicole Daniels, Ryan (Kim) Pitylak, Jennifer (Joe) McCardle, Erik (Tiffany) Adams, Shawn (Roslyn) Adams, Monica (Ryan) Drake, Elizabeth (Chad) Walesky, Bridget (Aaron) Rutledge, Nicholas Adams, Kane Adams and Quin Adams. Adored great-grandmother of Skylor and Logan Hunter, Zackary and Lucas Daniels, Nathan Daniels, Ethan, Emma and Collin Drake, Sam Pitylak and James McCardle. Loving aunt of many nieces and nephews. Lillian retired from Ford Motor Company in 1985. She and Sam moved to Fountain Hills, Arizona in 1986. After her beloved Sam died in 2012, Lillian moved back to Michigan to be near family.
