Laurel Louise McNulty, a resident of Pinckney, MI, died surrounded by her family at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ypsilanti on June 6, 2019. She was 79 years old.
Laurel McNulty, (aka Lolly) was born to Otis and Geraldine Brigg in Detroit, MI where she was raised. She was married to Gary Edward Farnell and had 3 children, Brian, Chris, and Julie. Gary passed away in 1972 and in 1979 she remarried Robert Francis McNulty, who she sadly lost in 1995.
She enjoyed crafting, knitting and cross stitching and was active in bowling, golfing, snowmobiling and camping, to name a few. She enjoyed watching her favorite mystery shows, Criminal Minds, CSI and Bones, but her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchild. Lolly will be forever missed.
She is survived by her son, Brian (Dana) Farnell and daughters Chris Farnell and Julie Reed; grandchildren, Kaleigh Curran, Tyler Reed, Christian Farnell and Kaya Curran; siblings, Richard (Barbara) Briggs, Lorraine (Alan) Matthews, Marianne Desmond and Stephanie Pender; her canine companion, Henry as well as many nieces, nephews, close friends and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Jerome Briggs.
Visitation will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 600 E. Main Street, Brighton, on Sunday, June 9, 2019 from 2-8PM.
Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 711 Rickett Road, Brighton, on Monday, June 10, 2019 at 10:30AM with gathering to begin at 10:00AM. The Rev. Fr. Joseph Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield.
Memorials may be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
