Kevin Eric Kowalske, age 21, and a resident of Brighton, died in a tragic auto accident on June 8, 2012.
Kevin was born on February 22, 1991, the son of Robert and Colleen (nee Keranen) Kowalske, and grew up in Brighton where was a 2009 graduate of Brighton High School and played the saxophone in the Marching Band. He was currently attending Washtenaw Community College and working towards an auto mechanic�s degree. For the past year he has worked as a welder with Belanger in Northville.
In his spare time Kevin enjoyed playing disc golf, hunting, target shooting, and opportunities to go fishing, especially for Bass. He was a great cook who enjoyed cooking the fish he caught, and cooking for his family and girlfriend.
He leaves his parents, Robert and Colleen Kowalske and his twin brother, Kyle; grandparents, Eleanore (the late Eero) Keranen of Kalkaska and Richard Kowalske of Canton and Eleanore Kowalske of Brighton; uncles, Rick (Jackie) Kowalske, John and Steve Keranen; aunt, Kristen (Chris) Fuller; his girlfriend, Nicole Stellar, Kyle�s girlfriend, Jessica Nunnally, many co-workers at Belanger in Northville, and many, many other dear friends who join his family in both mourning his passing and giving thanks for his life among them.
Memorial Contributions may be made in his name to the Brighton High School Band or for Kyle's Education Fund (with checks made payable to Colleen Kowalske).
A Funeral Service will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 600 E. Main Street, Brighton, on Thursday, June 14, at 11AM. Pastor Brad Tate to officiate. Friends may visit Tuesday 4-9 PM and Wednesday 2-9 PM.
