Obituary for Keith David Schiesser, Jr.

Keith David Schiesser, Jr., formerly of Whitmore Lake and a resident of Boynton Beach, Florida passed away Monday, July 20, 2009. He was 40 years old. Born December 4, 1968 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, he was the only son of Keith David Schiesser, Sr. and Mary M. Wright. Keith was raised in the area together with his sister Tiphanie.
Like his father, and his father before that, Keith worked for Ford Motor Company Wixom Plant where he was a millwright for 14 years before he took advantage of the buyout options. Shortly after, Keith moved to Boynton Beach, Florida where he was so close to the boats and the water he loved.
While in Michigan, Keith lived on Whitmore Lake where he raised his children, Tyler and Sammy. Together, the family loved spending time on the water and in the boat. Whether or not it was a holiday, Keith loved fireworks. His family remembers him as a 'pyrotech' recalling many instances with fireworks and other minor explosions. Keith also loved a good bon fire and great company. Keith's house on Whitmore Lake was often the location of the famed "Lobster Parties."
Keith loved visiting Cedar Point with Tyler and Sammy during October for the themed HalloWeekends. His drive for adventure took him all over the world including Put In Bay, Myrtle Beach, Key West and several places in the Carribbean.
Although Keith loved to travel, his passion was for adventure of all kinds. One epic journey began when Keith, his dad, Tiphanie and Mike launched his Power Quest boat at West Palm Beach and set sail. After rough seas, several set backs, and a handful of scares, they finally docked at the Bahamas. Upon returning, the Power Quest was sent back to the manufacturer who determined that the boat had literally been 'structurally compromised' by the 20 foot seas on this memorable voyage.
"Meijering" was a favorite hobby with his mom. Whether they found good deals or not, it was their time to be silly and have fun. The best was when they found bargains on brats, chicken, or steaks. And of course he couldn't just buy one package.
Keith also enjoyed smaller adventures and often helped Tyler build RC and model airplanes, cars, and trucks. Keith loved taking his 'Princess' Sammy out to various places for her favorite meal of crab legs. At the Brighton House, Keith enjoyed the exotic taste of escargot. Above all, Keith loved sharing and creating memories with his family and friends.

Of his life, his family and adventure, Keith would always say, "Good times."

Keith is survived by his beloved children, Tyler & Samantha; loving parents, Keith Schiesser and Mary Wright; dear sister, Tiphanie Crane and long-time friend, Mike Robertson. He will be deeply missed by many loving extended family members and dear friends.

Funeral from Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors, 600 E. Main St., Brighton, Saturday, July 25, 11 AM. Pastor John Ball to officiate. Friends may visit Friday 3-9 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Schiesser Family. For further information, please phone 810.229.2905.
