Obituary for Julian S. Jonik

Julian S. Jonik passed into eternal life on November 9, 2013 at 91 years of age. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Julia Jonik. Dearest father of Mary (Greg) Morris, Paul (Suzanne) and Julian (Tamara). Dear �Dziadzia� (Polish for Grandfather) of Christopher and Maryssa Morris, Peter Jonik, Zachary, Sarah and Hanna Jonik. He was also preceded in death by brothers Steve, Louis and Henry. Dear sister-in-law, Gwen, many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.

Julian grew up in Detroit. He graduated from Cass Tech High School and studied electrical engineering, later becoming an electrician. He married the love of his life, Julia, and had three children and six grandchildren, all of whom he was very proud. He loved his home and living in the country. He enjoyed reading, nature, tennis, traveling and was very proud of his Polish heritage. His faith as a Roman Catholic was very important to him. He was consecrated under the Banner of Our Lady of Guadalupe. He was blessed with a loving extended family, good friends, and neighbors. His quiet manner, gentle smile and humble disposition will be missed. He is forever in our hearts. May he rest eternally with God, reunited with Julia.

A Funeral Mass will be held at San Francesco Church, 22870 S Nunneley Rd, Clinton Twp, MI 48035 on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at 11 AM. Friends may gather at the church from 10 AM until the time of Service. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Twp.
