Joseph Peter Kulchyski, 80, and beloved husband of Kathleen for 53 years, passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and proud U of M fan.
Joseph was born on November 12, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Peter and Margaret Kulchyski. He was a man strong in his Catholic faith. He was a determined, loving, light-hearted and gentle man and always with a smile, Joseph was a family man who enjoyed his time away from work, taking his family on trips across the country and just heading up north in the summer for a cabin rental and skiing in the winter. He taught family members to ski and so loved watching his own children and grandsons ski.
Joseph worked for Ford Motor Credit Co. in Dearborn and retired after over 32 years of devoted service. Following his retirement,, he worked another 10 years with latchkey kids, doing all the summer camps and activities as well. It brought him great joy to work with the kids.
Loving father of Shannon Mack (Daniel) and the late Shane Kulchyski. Proud grandfather of Nolan and Alex Haskin. Dear brother of James Kulchyski (Catherine). Cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews.
