Joseph M. Peardon, a resident of Brighton and former resident of Redford, died at his home in the care of his family on May 22, 2012 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was fifty-two years old.
Born on November 19, 1959 in Livonia, the son of Del and Rosemary (LaVelle) Peardon, Joe grew up in Livonia, where he was a graduate of Bentley High School. Following his time in the U.S. Army, he completed auto body trade school, and has enjoyed his work with Troy Design and Manufacturing for many years.
Joe was a member of the Brighton Masonic Lodge, Rolling Thunder, co-founder of �Ride for Autism�, and President of the International Society. He loved his Harley Davidson motorcycle and was pleased to be able to be in its seat for a last time several weeks ago. Joe�s character and smile and distinctive voice will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Joanne; son, David Comerford; daughters, Michelle, Angela & Christina Peardon; grandson, Scott Comerford; parents, Del & Rosemary Peardon of Harrison Twp.; sister, Teresa (Bud) Gerhardt; brother, Paul (Valerie) Peardon, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many dear friends.
Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 711 Rickett Road, Brighton, on Saturday, May 26, 10:30AM. Friends may visit at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 600 E. Main Street, Brighton, on Thursday, May 24th from 4 - 9 PM and Friday, May 25th, 2 - 9 PM. Rosary Friday 7:30 PM. Masonic Service Friday 8 PM.
Memorials may be made in his name to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation.
