Jordan Stanley Jackson, of Brighton, passed away after a brief illness on February 19, 2016 at the age of 73.
Jordan was preceded in death by his sister, Marjorie Bregi and parents, Harvey W. and Margaret M. (nee Piasecki) Jackson.
Survived by sisters, Patricia (James) Iley and Susan Teague; brother, Ralph (Priscilla) Jackson; brother-in-law, James (Gail) Bregi; many nieces and nephews as well as extended family and dear friends, especially his special friend, Kerry Young and her children Cody, Connor, Kamile, and Kimberly.
Jordan was born in Detroit and grew up in Grosse Pointe Farms. He attended the University of Colorado, Michigan Technological University, and Lawrence Technological University where he earned a degree in engineering.
Jordan is a veteran of the Vietnam War where he served in the Army Corp of Engineers. He began his career at Pyles Industries in Wixom, MI. Later he took over his father's business, Jordan Products, which manufactures HO scale vehicles for model railroads. He continued to grow the business by designing new models and expanding the product line until his death.
Jordan enjoyed traveling and photography. He had an interest in every type of vintage vehicle from horse drawn carriages to boats, trains, and cars. He was loving and generous to his family and friends, and all of his many nieces and nephews who especially enjoyed his sense of humor.
A Memorial Service will be held from Fellowship Baptist Church, 10774 9 Mile Rd, Whitmore Lake, on Tuesday, February 23, at 6 PM. Friends may gather beginning at 4 PM.
