Obituary for John "Jack" William Waldecker

John “Jack” William Waldecker, a longtime resident of Brighton, a native of Detroit, US Air Force Veteran, Ford Motor Company retiree, died peacefully, surrounded by his family on June 24, 2019 after suffering a heart attack.



He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Barbara Waldecker; daughters, Christine Waldecker and Pam (Mark) Wikman; grandchildren, Caitlyn, Ana and Joey, Keith and Holly; brothers, Jerry and Tom; sisters, Maureen Traxel, Barbara Nagi and Diane Waldecker, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 600 E. Main Street, Brighton on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at 4 PM. Friends may visit the funeral home on Sunday from 1 PM until the time of the service. A luncheon will follow. Burial Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Monday.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Stroke Association, 300 S Riverside Plaza Ste 1200, Chicago, IL 60606 or to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen, Development Office, 1820 Mount Elliott Street. Detroit, MI 48207.
