Jerome Francis Jodloski, Sr. (Jerry), 88, of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on February 17, 2021.
Born in Detroit, Michigan on July 31, 1932, Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Helen (nee’ Serafin) Jodloski; brother David Jaye; and sister Helen (Cookie) Shebib.
At St. Hedwig’s High School, Jerry’s athletic prowess in football, basketball, and diving would morph into a passion for golf in his later years. A degree in Accounting received from the University of Detroit led to Jerry’s successful sales career in the automotive industry. Always the life of the party, Jerry was known for his wicked sense of humor, irreverent jokes, and relentless teasing of the people he loved best. Without question, Jerry was a devoted son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend.
Jerry is survived by his three children: Maria Jodloski Campbell, Jerry Jodloski, Jr. (Cari Hastings DeLamielleure), and Krista Jodloski Johnston; six grandchildren: Kian, Ruby, Abby, Mabel, Will, and Leo; and many beloved nephews, nieces, extended family, and dear friends.
Jerry’s favorite charity was St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. A Celebration of Life will be planned for this summer.
