Jenness Lynn Anderson, of Brighton, peacefully passed at Arbor Hospice Residence on Wednesday, February 24th in Saline in the care of her loving husband. She was 62 years old.
Born on May 30th, 1958 in Madison Heights, she was one of three children of Carolyn Jewell & Donald Anderson. Riding horses had always been her life’s passion, which led to meeting her husband, Rick Wiegand, at Haverhill Farms in Novi. After marrying in Cozumel in 1991, they moved to Brighton where they built a beautiful home & farm where she could ride to her heart's content. She was a loving mom of 5 children and a loving wife of 30 years. When she wasn’t on the farm, she loved spending time at her family’s Chalet in Gaylord, MI.
She carried with courage a burden that she couldn’t know. She carried it with grace and humor that most couldn’t muster. A burden that took away her luster, but couldn’t blunt her spirit. The frustration she felt at a life slipping away... how she found the strength, day after long day. How she maintained the capacity for love and the humor to make it easier on those around her. To see her laugh under such strain always brought tears to my eyes and garnered her a huge hug. The simplest of tasks were a tall mountain for her, but she scaled them to the best of her limited ability each time without complaint. Of saddling and mounting her old horse, Atlas, she would dream each time she looked out on the pasture. I could see it in her eyes, but the words were unable to find her lips. More quietly she sat and stared, day after day, and soon, she wasn’t there...
We love you Jenness and hope you’ve found the peace you so richly deserved. You will be so dearly missed.
