Floyd Eugene Foust, 79, of Howell, Michigan passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022.
Born in Van Wert, Ohio on June 30, 1942 to the late Donald and Donna Foust, Floyd lived the majority of his years in Michigan, proudly working for GM for over 35 years. After graduating from Indiana Tech, Floyd headed north to work for GM with a degree in mechanical engineering. Although he still wore is Ohio State hat proudly, He was a U of M fan, a season ticket holder, and happy to wear a Michigan State hat if they were winning. He was a true family man, devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather or “Poppy” as he was known, dear brother, respected colleague, avid rail fan, Corvette enthusiast, and friend of so many people in every aspect of his life.
Floyd traveled the world and was a great story teller. He was proud to be a grandfather, never missed their events in life, and was so proud of all their achievements. Floyd was married to Joan for 18 years and raised three children. Joan preceded him in death in 1999. Later in life, Floyd met Margaret and the two of them were happily married for 19 years at the time of his passing. He will be greatly missed by not only his family, but all who crossed his path.
Beloved husband of Marge for 19 years and also the late Joan for 18 years. Loving father of Erica Duncan (Jeff), Matthew Barinotti (Robin), and Amy Rice (Kevin). Proud grandfather of Brittney Rice-Seibt (Luke), Kaleigh Rice, Jada Rice, Kevin David Rice, Zachary Sager, Jocelyn Bickell (Josh), Sean Duncan, Jessica Barinotti, and Brandon Barinotti. Step-father of Holly Louwaerts (Christopher), Brian Smith, and Sarah Reardon (Peter). Step-grandfather of Nathan Louwaerts, Kara Louwaerts, Alayna Smith, Madilyn Smith, Brady Smith, Lydia Reardon, and Maisie Reardon.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022 from 12:00pm - 2:00pm at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home 600 E. Main St. Brighton, MI 48116.
A Memorial sService will be held at the funeral home at 2:00pm.
