Edward A. Weber of Brighton & formerly of Beverly Hills, MI died Wednesday, January 26, 2011. He was 73 years old.
Ed was born in Detroit on March 29, 1937 to Anthony and Helen Weber. At age 17 he met Lillian, who he would later fall in love with. Ed aged 23 and Lillian aged 21 were married on April 30, 1960 in Detroit. They spent their first seven years of marriage sowing their wild oats together. Ed and Lillian were truly Bonnie & Clyde. After settling down they started their family and were blessed with two sons, James and Steven. The boys remember their father always working hard. Ed taught them a strong work ethic, saying do the job right. Ed worked serving his community proudly his entire life. He was monumental in the conception of Detroits Emergency Medical Service EMS. Ed was a careered firefighter, working his way up the ladder. In 1997 after 30 years he retired as Chief of the Birmingham Fire Department. After retiring his toughest decisions became where to golf or fish. Ed enjoyed nothing more than time spent with his family up north at their cottage in Caseville, MI. His grandchildren will hold dear to them the memories of fishing and playing on the beach. He will be truly missed.
He is survived by Lillian (nee. Petroff), his beloved wife of more than 50 years; sons, Dr. James (Wendy) Weber and their children Annika & Alex, Dr. Steven (Leah) Weber and their children Luke sister, Louise (Nick) Achs, and many extended family members and dear friends.
