Dorothy Mae Tominac (Gossett) passed away on February 24, 2020. Dorothy was born in Central City, Kentucky on October 3, 1924 and later moved with her family to Detroit. She graduated from Commerce High School and met her husband Emil Tominac (Tommy) at the Greystone Ballroom in Detroit.
They were married on January 11, 1947 and remained so until his death in 2002. She was a very kind and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who devoted her entire life to her family. She will be greatly missed. Her brother, Clarence Gossett Jr. and sister, Virginia Galeas preceded her passing. She is survived by her children: Anthony Tominac (Glenda), Cheryl Cooper (Tom), and Donna Zawisa (Ken); Grandchildren: Melissa Stewart, Kellie, Hannah, and Matthew Zawisa; Great Grandson: William Stewart. A celebration of life luncheon will be held at a date and time to be announced.
