Obituary for Dorothy Mae Kelly

Dorothy Mae Kelly, a resident of Brighton, died peacefully, surrounded by her family, on November 3, 2019. She was 92 years old.

Dorothy was born on June 9, 1927 in Shelburn, Indiana to parents George and Jennie Sutch. She was the second youngest of seven children.

Dorothy met Ralph Harvey Kelly while attending North Central College in Naperville, Illinois. They were married on August 21, 1948 in Toledo, Ohio.

Dorothy is survived by her sons, Dennis (Jeri), Brian (Chris), Alan (Linda) and Lynn (Christina),
grandchildren, Kyle (Amber) Kelly, Erin Kelly, Sara (Cody) Frasz, Katy (Steven) Byrd, Megan (Scott Sutton) Kelly, Jason Kelly (Megan Hill), Adam (Brooke) Kelly, Michael (Amanda Smith) Kelly, David Kelly, Kristy (Corey) Johnston, and Cody Kelly; great grandchildren, Andrew Kelly, Oliver Byrd, Mackenzie and Kylie Johnston, as well as many extended family and dear friends.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 46 years, Ralph in 1994 and her parents, George and Jennie Sutch.

A Memorial Service will be held at First United Methodist Church, 400 E Grand River Ave, Brighton, MI on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 11 AM. Gathering to begin at 10 AM. The Rev. Dr. Sherry Parker-Lewis to officiate.
