Christine Bereza Taylor, of Brighton, MI, peacefully passed in her sleep to be with her Savior on Friday, April 3, 2020, at the age of 69. She was a beloved and devoted mother, grandmother, and sister, and is deeply missed.
Christine was born on January 3, 1951, the eldest of two daughters born to Edward and Sophie Bereza in Dearborn, Michigan.
She was a loving mother to her children Brian Taylor (Carrie), Scott Taylor (Cassandra), Nicole Thomas (Jeffery); grandchildren Jora, Caitlyn, Michael, and Brayden Taylor; Benjamin, Ava, Marek, and Emmeline Thomas; sister Patricia Schultz (William), niece Jennifer Schultz, nephew Christopher Schultz, as well as many close friends and extended family members.
She was a loyal and skilled employee at Livingston County Daily Press & Argus for 25 years and then Centurion Medical Products Corporation for 5 years before retiring in 2017. She thoroughly enjoyed retirement, travelling to visit her children, babysitting grandchildren, and meeting up with friends for lunch or a walk.
Christine found great joy serving and worshipping at Brighton Christian Church. She was a loved member of her church who always looked for ways to help and encourage others in need, including her enthusiastic service as a member of “The Giving Circle” sewing club. Her church family members fondly remember her as a true friend, and who loved Jesus with all her heart.
Her grandchildren called her “the best grandma ever”, her sister called her “best friend”, and her children knew her as “an amazing mother” who always did everything she could to make her children and grandchildren happy.
She was laid to rest with a private family gathering on April 7, 2020.
