Cathleen Marie Schurman, a resident of Redford Twp., MI, died surrounded by her family on December 22, 2019. She was 68 years old.
Cathleen was born on April 12, 1951 to parents, John and Lois Reiman. She grew up in the Livonia area and graduated from Livonia Stevenson High Schools class of 1969. Cathleen had a big heart and she loved to help people. You could recognize her by her infectious laugh and those closest to her even called her “Giggles”.
A big accomplishment of her life was being sober for 27 years which she and her family were proud of her longtime dedication to sobriety. She had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed taking in the sights of our beautiful state, especially Michigans historic lighthouses and campgrounds. She loved her family and cherished time spent with her grandkids and looked forward to weekly dinners with her close group of friends. Cathleen Marie Schurman will be greatly missed.
Cathleen is survived by her three daughters, Christina (Joe) Lezotte, Rebekka (Trond) Darby and Laura (Bill) McMillan; grandchildren, John, Ryanne, Cole, Kaitlyn, Dylan, Shelby and Billy; parents, John and Lois (nee. Hunter) Reiman; sister, Tina (Ed) Esker; loved one, Robert Schurman and sister in-law, Maryann Reiman as well as many nieces, cousins, dear friends and extended family members.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Reiman (d. 2011) and her nephew, Andrew Reiman (d. 2007)
