Obituary for Arthur J. Loruss

Arthur J. Loruss, a resident of Howell, former resident of Southgate, Westland, and Farmington Hills, and retiree of Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, died peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on September 21, 2018 after struggling with Parkinson’s disease. He was 91 years old. 



He is survived by his beloved wife of 72 years, Virginia Loruss; their sons, Garry (Lori) Loruss, Craig Loruss, Brian (Lori) Loruss, Keith (Maureen) Loruss, and Darin (Wendy) Loruss; their daughters, Donna (Dave) Quigley and Maria (Wayne) DeRosia; fifteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Loruss, and brothers, Joseph and Jerry Loruss.


Visitation will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 600 E. Main St., Brighton on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 from 4-8 PM.

Mass of the Resurrection from St. Patrick Catholic Church, 711 Rickett Rd, Brighton on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 10:30 AM, with the The Rev. Fr. Mathias Thelen celebrating. A luncheon will follow at the church. Burial St. Hedwig Cemetery, Dearborn Heights. Memorials may be made in his name to St. Joseph Mercy Livingston Hospice.
