Amy Kristine Harris of Hartland passed away on May 11, 2015 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was 34 years old.
Born June 25, 1980 in Batavia, New York, Amy was the only daughter and eldest of three children born to parents Judith Elaine (nee. Bolles) and Scott Foster Hall. Amy and her brothers, David and Philip, were raised in the Batavia community.
On July 20, 2002, Amy married her best friend Jason �Jay� Harris. The couple was blessed by the births of their children, first their son, Matthew, then their daughter, Elizabeth. Amy was a devoted wife to Jason and a dedicated mother to their children. She was ambitious and intelligent and went through life with a smile on her face.
Amy was a veteran of the US Army Reserve and attended law school at the Michigan State University College of Law on a full academic scholarship, graduating Summa cum Laude in 2006. She practiced as a Criminal Defense Attorney at the Amy K. Harris Law Firm in Flint and was chairperson for the Criminal Law and Defender Committee of the Genesee County Bar Association.
In addition to Jason, her beloved husband of nearly 13 years, Amy is survived by their children Matthew and Elizabeth, her father Scott Hall, brothers David (Ashley) Hall and Philip Hal, mother-in-law Charlotte (Ray) Hawkes, as well as a large extended family and many dear friends.
Amy was preceded in death by her mother Judith Hall and father-in-law Lawrence Harris.
Funeral Service from First Presbyterian Church, 300 E. Grand River, Brighton on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 2:00 PM with gathering beginning at 1:30 PM. The Rev. Dan Michalek to officiate. Burial at Hodge Cemetery, Hartland.
Friends may visit at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 600 E. Main St., Brighton on Thursday from 5-9 PM and Friday 1-9 PM.
