Obituary for Agnes Williamson

Agnes Williamson (Siterlet), 84, died July 24, 2015 at Arbor Hospice in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Visitation will be Wednesday July 29, 2015 from 3 pm until 9 pm at Lynch and Sons Funeral Home, 600 East Main Street in Brighton, Michigan. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick's Church, 711 Rickett Road in Brighton, Michigan on Thursday July 30, 2015 at 10:30 am. The Rev. Fr. Karl Pung officiating.

She was born April 21, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan to Earl and Lucille (Schlaff) Siterlet. Agnes grew up in the Detroit area and was a long time Livonia resident. She graduated from Plymouth High School and the University of Michigan with a Masters of English Language and Literature.

Agnes was a passionate educator who taught college English from 1982 until 2013 when she retired from Schoolcraft College at the age of 82. Agnes had a love of Russian literature, a strong Catholic faith, and more than anything loved her children and grandchildren. She was a strong vivacious woman, who could fill a room with her laughter, loved with reckless abandon, and lived every one of her 84 years out loud.

She will be missed by everyone whose life she has touched. She is survived by her brother John (Patricia), her sister Elaine, her children Rick (Alice), Mary, David (Debra), Ted (Kim), and Wendy, her 7 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband Richard, daughter Amy, brothers James, Richard, and Earl, and sister Rosemary.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are encouraged to: Arbor Hospice, 2366 Oak Valley Drive, Ann Arbor, MI 48103 or St. Patrick Catholic Church-General Fund, 711 Rickett Road, Brighton, MI 48116.
