Aaron Michael Nelson
November 29, 1975 – December 3, 2021
Aaron Nelson, 46, beloved son of Garry and Jacque (Null) Nelson, Howell, Michigan passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021. Aaron was born November 29, 1975 in Silvis, Illinois. He married Jessi Bird in a beautiful Colorado mountain ceremony on the Crystal River near Carbondale, August 20, 2007. Aaron made lifelong friends wherever he went, who supported and loved him as well as he loved and embraced all of them. From small town Ophiem, Illinois; Seattle, Farmington Hills, Michigan, Colorado, to Key West -- and many spots between.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Jacque; father Garry; sisters Lee (Bellino) and Laura (Sykes); Grandma Millie Nelson (94); son August (11) and ex-wife Jessi Bird (Seattle); Nieces and Nephews: Zachary and Evan Sykes; Luke, Kate and Ava Bellino; Aunt Toni and Uncle Tiger (Illinois), and Aunt Linda and Uncle Tim (Tennessee); and many dear, true friends, across the country from Key West to Seattle and everywhere between.
The special friends in Aaron’s life know that he honored the people and places he loved in his numerous tattoos. Aaron was very talented artist. We’ll treasure carefully crafted pieces of his art work along with our memories of his talented soul. His newest passion was to help “Garry B” restore a classic 1976 Stars and Stripes Mastercraft ski boat, to share his love of the water with his son, August. Aaron’s boating adventures began at age 6 months on the Mississippi River. He loved his slalom water ski, and was looking forward to that first ski ride in the summer of 2022 on a beautiful Michigan lake when the project was complete. He really enjoyed the boat rides this summer / fall even though the boat was still a work in progress.
Aaron enjoyed family gatherings at every opportunity. Memorial gatherings will be held in Michigan and Illinois at a future date. Mom and dad will be on a mission to deliver ashes across the country to honor his memory in the places he loved, with the people that were so very important to him.
A Go Fund Me account has been established in memory of Aaron for his son August at the following link: https://www.gofundme.com/memorial-fund-for-aaron-nelsons-son-august
